Grounded thesis (Coding Agents Conference 2026)

"2026 will be the year of agent orchestration." Engineers are hitting laptop limits running multiple agents concurrently ("we have a code base that's like million lines of Rust code. I have maybe four or five of these checked out on my laptop."). Next phase: cloud-hosted agent fleets with the same UX as local.

Grounded quotes

  • On the substrate: "agents are a new programming primitive. If you're an app builder… you're going to actually want to be able to add agents into those."
  • On primitives for cloud orchestration: "things like environments… hosting… Daytona or E2B or Docker sandboxes or namespace… visibility into what the agents are doing… human in the loop."
  • On programmability: "you should be able to launch agents via API or SDK or CLI. You should be able to configure environments. You should be able to pull artifacts. You should be able to pull conversations."
